Caries Risk Assessment (CRA)

In this section, you can estimate a patient’s caries risk using a structured, age-specific approach. The module is divided into two pathways: patients younger than 6 years, and patients 6 years and older. Based on clinical examination findings, radiographs, and identified caries risk factors, you can classify each patient as low, moderate, or high caries risk. Even by selecting a single relevant item from the list, the tool will help you assign an appropriate risk category. Once the risk level is determined, the module provides a clear summary of: recommended radiographic intervals, suggested recall frequency for periodic examinations, and key preventive and behavioral counseling points tailored to that risk category. This section is designed to support quick, consistent, and evidence-informed caries risk assessment at chairside and to help you link risk level to practical clinical decisions.
